Trendnet has beaten off stiff competition to be first to market with a
450Mbps 802.11n router.
The TEW-691GR router uses three 2.4GHz Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO)
antennas, each running three spacial streams, to give speeds 50 per cent faster
than anything else currently available. The router also includes one WAN and
four LAN ports for wired connections.
"Trendnet's ability to launch this ground breaking 450Mbps product ahead of
other brands says a lot about our recent growth," stated Pei Huang, president of
Trendnet.
"We are ecstatic to set a new performance threshold in the consumer wireless
revolution."
